Suggested Information to Include When
You Give A Patient Access to the Portal
  • From top section of Patient Portal Tab on Demographics Screen
    • Patient Portal Username – See Chart 11
    • Initial Patient Portal Password – See Chart 11

  • URL to connect from a patient’s web browser:  http://portal.psychnotesemr.com*
  • Suggest that when they first login in the go to the  Edit Account Screen and enter:
    • Their email (for password recovery) and
    • Change their initial password
  • Remind them that when they are  done with the Portal it is very important for the security of their account that they Click Logout from the main screen and also close their browser


  • * Note: that Microsoft has been shipping VISTA with settings on Internet Explorer that will not connect to many secure sites.  If they have a connection problem they need try making the following changes on Internet Explorer
  • Tools à Internet Options à Security à  Advanced
  • Scroll to the bottom and check off Use SSL 3.0 then click OK
